GENERAL CARE INSTRUCTIONS 

Plated jewellery includes a thin layer of precious metal on another solid metal, such as 925 sterling silver, which can rub off with harsh and/or long-term contact with skin. Continual exposure to perfume, sweat, and water can tarnish the plated jewellery.  To make sure your pieces stay perfect, follow these steps: 

  • Always take your plated jewellery off before sleeping or any physical activity,

  • Keep your jewellery dry, espically from chemicals like nail polish remover, soaps, perfumes or chlorine,

  • Store all your jewellery in individual pouches or bags.

RING SIZE MEASUREMENT 

Kindly note that most of our rings are ajustable. For the non-ajustable or made-to-measure pieces, see instructions below :

1. Download the image below. 

2. In the printing options, set the page scale to 100% (remove the "adapt" option, if present). 

3. Verify that the scale is at 100% when you print the image by using a ruler to measure one of the circles. 

4. Place a ring you already own one of the circles and let us know what your size is!

CURRENCIES

Payments as well as refunds for shipments can be invoiced in euros, canadian dollars, us dollars, chinese yuan, british pound, swiss francs or japanese yen.

Debit or credit cards will be debited in the chosen currency. If your currency is not available, due to exchange rates, the final price will be calculated in the applicable exchange rate the day the credit card company processes the transaction.

PAYMENT SECURITY 

Garçon de Famille clients are guaranteed maximum credit card security because all transactions are processed using Wix Payment methods. Wix Payments complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). The PCI DSS is the highest information security standard for organizations or companies that accept credit card payments. This standard provides protection of the privacy and confidentiality of the card's data used to complete the online transaction.

ORDER PROCESSING & SHIPPING

Standard pieces

Once your purchase has been completed, an e-mail confirmation will be sent to the address on file. This e-mail acts as an invoice and includes your order number. 

Once your order is placed a standard processing time of up to 7 business days is required before the order is shipped out. During peak periods, processing times may exceed 7 business days. 

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an e-mail with your shipment’s tracking information, allowing you to keep tabs on the progress of your delivery.

Made to order pieces

Please allow an additional 5 to 14 business days period for our artisans to complete the piece(s). If the production and processing time exceeds 15 business days, GDF will send your order via express shipping, free of charge.

Shipping fee

Shipping fees are calculated according to your location, from 5€ to 50€ per order.

Taxes

All prices include taxes. The prices listed on individual product pages are calculated based on the location you are shopping from.

Duties

European Union

Since GDF is an Italy-based company, European orders will not be subjected to any duties upon delivery, as the shipment is not traversing any commercial borders.

United States

By placing an order with us, you acknowledge that this sale occurs outside the United States, and that you are importing your order for non-commercial (personal) use. You also acknowledge that you will be listed as the importer for US Customs and Border Protection purposes and that your order will be imported into the United States in accordance with the necessary customs requirements.

Other countries

We ship to over 40 countries where duties are excluded. Your order will be shipped DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid). As such, your order may incur duties, fees and import taxes upon delivery. This charge is determined by your local customs authority and payment of these fees is obligatory if you wish to obtain your shipment. For further information, please consult your local customs office or contact our customer care team.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

If you'd like to return or exchange an item, kindly contact the customer care team. Our team responds within a 24 hour timeframe, excluding weekends and holidays. All return shipping, import and customs fees are at the sole responsibility of the customer. These fees will be deducted from the final refund and will not be reimbursed.

WARRANTY 

Discover peace of mind with our warranty coverage at GDF. When you invest in our fine jewelry pieces, rest easy with a comprehensive 1-year warranty that attests to the quality and craftsmanship we uphold. For all other jewelry in our collection, benefit from a 1-year warranty, ensuring your satisfaction and confidence in your purchase. For BESPOKE pieces, the warranty is variable and assessed directly with the customer.

If you encounter issues with your piece during the warranty periods, all service and cleaning fees are covered, demonstrating our commitment to your experience. Please note, however, that repair craftsmanship, artisans, and shipping fees are excluded from this coverage.

Even after the warranty periods conclude, we remain steadfast in our dedication to your satisfaction. Our team is always available to service your pieces, provide cleaning, and address any concerns you may have.

REPAIRS, SERVICING & PERSONALIZATION

We ensure that our craftsmanship is to the highest standards and repair all items made by GDF. You may send in your piece by mail to our offices. If you choose to send your item by mail, please follow the instructions listed below.

 

1. Contact us via email: info@garcondefamille.com. Kindly include :

  • Describe your item as completely as possible, including any damage and/or personalization,

  • Describe your servicing request. Please be as specific as possible so our craftspeople do exactly what you wish,

  • Additional instructions or comments.

3. Enclose your piece to be repaired in a box or wrapped enveloppe. 
4. Send piece and form, via an insured shipping method, to:

After we make an assessment, we will send you a free estimate. Our repair and servicing costs start at 40€, personalization services at 30€ and the return shipping fees vary from 5€ to 30€ depending on your location.
