The proportions and silhouettes of spiders were transposed to drawings while designing Arachne's pieces.
The shapes that compose a spider are so markedly complex that meticulously designing the jewelry was a requirement, not an option.
Anatomically, spiders differ from other arthropods in that the usual body segments. Arachne similarly differs from the usual mythology segments.
Arachne is the protagonist of a tale in Greco-Roman mythology known primarily from the version told by the Roman poet Ovid. Arachne was a weaver who challenged Athena and was consequently transformed into a spider.
